Snapped returning to Claridges after pre-recording an appearance on Alan Carr’s show, Chatty Man, Katy Perry let her outfit do the talking.
Telling us what we already knew with her ‘Happy’ top, the California Gurls singer beamed for the paparazzi.
You'd probably look that happy too if you were soon to be Mrs Russell Brand. No? Just me? Ok then....
Anyway, while we’re not sure whether we'll ever be sold on her outfit ensemble (and don't get me started on the pre-teen flecks of purple hair), we do love her heeled boots.
In black leather and with a mid height heel, her boots are undoubtedly the redeeming feature of the pants-on-show-through-your-mesh-skirt look.

What a rare treat it is to find a sweet smelling shoe. Well, that’s exactly what you get with a Melissa shoe; a sweet (bubblegum to be exact) smelling shoe.
But the scent is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what has us drooling...
In one of the most exciting footwear collaborations of recent years, the Vivienne Westwood for Melissa fusion range has had us chomping at the bit to grab a piece of (affordable) designer clobber.
While all of the products within the collaboratory range bring a modern twist to classic styles, our current flavour of the week has got to be the Ultragirl Bow Lace. With all the sophistication of a simple flat, the subtle peep toe and bow detailing add that je ne sais quoi that is symbolic of the line.
It’s not just Shudoo HQ that has a penchant for the Vivienne Westwood Ultragirl Bow, as stars including Carey Mulligan, Isla Fisher and Dita Von Teese have all been snapped in the very same flats.
It's finally autumn which only means one thing...it's time to treat ourselves to a brand new wardrobe.
As always, the most foolproof way to dress our feet this September is with ankle boots. One of the most versatile styles of footwear, they can be teamed with trousers, dresses or skirts, a la Mollie King from the Saturdays.
Although it is a little hard to see where her legs end and boots begin (Sorry, Mollie), we're giving big kudos for the western twist that her boots have given to this top autumnal trend.
You can get Mollie's look with the Shudoo Howdy boot. A leather boot for just £75, it could be one of the best investments you make this year!

Just like Pixie Lott, here at Shudoo HQ we're loving biker boots! With the weather as unpredictable as it is, what better way to dress your feet than with a pair of stylish leather bikers?
They're the ideal boot for tackling the tricky British terrain, as they can be teamed just as easily with jeans and a jacket as they can with a dress or playsuit. Multipurpose? We likey!
A firm fave with celebs, the trend is very reminiscent of the style of Kate Moss, Rachel Bilson and Taylor Momsen, to name but a few.
As for us, while we love all of our shoes equally, we've got a particular soft spot for the Bullboxer Buster.
The soft leather upper and lacing detail make this slim fit boot a favourite in the Shudoo office.
If, however, the Buster boot is a bit too Rocky Balboa for you, then you could always try the Blowfish Twisted Sister for a looser fitting look.

Can you believe it?! BB11 winner Josie has bowed out of the race to win Ultimate Big Brother by walking out of the BB house!
Just two days after re-entering the house following her (albeit brief) exit when she won the eleventh and final series of Big Brother, everyone’s favourite housemate Josie has walked.
In a bizarre stroke of luck for our favourite mucker, one of the first faces she saw after making her escape from the house was her new beau, John James, who had been visiting the Big Brother compound to record a message for her.
The pair kissed before Josie apologised profusely to producers saying "I'm so sorry guys. They're all really nice people don't get me wrong, I'm normal I'm not a celebrity I'm not like that. I couldn't handle it no more."
Unfortunately for us, we won’t get to see the bubbly Bristolian glammed up for another eviction night. Lets just hope that, unlike Tuesday night, she actually wore shoes when she left the house!

Adele Parks is a British female fiction writer. Having sold over a million copies of her novels in the UK, she has just launched her 10th book, Men I’ve Loved Before.
She’s taken some time out of her busy and glamorous promotional schedule to chat to Shudoo about her writing habits, how she dresses fabulously (and comfortably) for cocktail evenings with fans and her fashion forecast for this A/W...
What style of shoe do you wear while you are writing – are you comfy and cosy, or do you go into the style of your character?
Among the many things I think about before I begin writing, I always think about what sort of shoes my characters like, buy and wear. We all know that in an ideal world the shoes we like, buy and wear would be one and the same but sometimes that's not the case; sometimes characters aspire to shoes that represent a lifestyle that they don't yet have. I like my characters to have those same layers and shades.
As for me, I write at home, in the loft which we've converted into an office. Because I'm right at the top of the house I wear comfy (quiet!) shoes when I'm working so my family in the rooms below me can't hear me clunking around. Pumps are my preference, besides being discrete, pumps look really stylish if I have to answer the door to anyone; slippers wouldn't look so professional!
You’ve been combining the launch of your latest novel “Men I’ve Loved Before” with cocktail events to meet your readers. What are your perfect shoes to wear to a cocktail event?
I've had a really wonderful and busy summer launching this and, because it is my tenth, the publisher went all out and we held a series of glamorous cocktail evenings up and down the country so that I could meet as many of my fans as possible and celebrate with them. Besides the cocktail events I had signings each day, talks at literary festivals and libraries, some of which will be going on throughout the autumn.
Knowing I was going to be so busy (and seen!) I gave my footwear a HUGE amount of thought before-hand. The cocktail events demanded a high, glam heel; I think my fans would have been disappointed with anything less! But I also had to consider that I was going to be on my feet for hours on end and days in a row. So I wore Carvela and Vivienne Westwood for Melissa with party dresses. I was careful to rotate! These brands are so beautiful but also totally comfortable. During the day signings I wore Converse with jeans.
Which footwear trend are you most looking forward to wearing this Autumn/Winter?
I love boots! I think they are one of the few things that make the inevitable on-set of bad weather bearable! I'm very excited about wearing chunky ankle boots with tight jeans and huge baggy woolies! I don't think I'll do better than the Shudoo Quiteria boot, they look amazing. Utilitarian and chic, love them.
How many pairs of shoes do you own and what is your oldest, most loved pair?
I own round 100 pair of shoes, plus trainers, boots and FitFlops on top! I only have two feet, so clearly the maths doesn't work but I bet you all understand! My shoes harbour memories; just a glance at them causes me to flush with excitement as I remember particular occasions when I wore favourites! It's hard to pick a single pair that is my favourite. Maybe my baby pink points that I wore when I eloped to Vegas or my strappy, peacock-blue feathered sandals that I wore for my son's christening.

Not only was it the final of BB11 last night, but Ultimate Big Brother was unveiled to find the best housemate ever!
Josie beat Dave, Mario, JJ and Andrew to become the winner of the last ever series of the show and scooped the £100k prize.
Wearing a summery rainbow print maxi dress, Josie forgot to put her shoes on in all the excitement and left the house barefoot!
But she wasn’t out for long. After a quick interview with a sequin-clad Davina and a cheeky kiss with John James, Josie was swept back in the house to begin Ultimate Big Brother.
Famous faces from the show’s ten-year history were rolled out including Chantelle Houghton and Ulrika Jonsson.
Chantelle, in a nude mini dress and black heels, looked rather shocked to see ex-hubby Preston step back inside the house!
We wonder what Big Brother has up its sleeves for the next 18 days... Get ready for the sparks to fly!

Over the weekend Chelmsford and Weston-under-Lizard came alive as V Festival hit the two towns. The threatening rain did little to dampen spirits and there were just as many boots and sandals on show as there were wellies.
This year’s headline acts were none other than Kasabian and Kings of Leon but it was the female performers who we had our eye on, and more importantly their shoes!
Pixie Lott is a known lover of the biker boot so we weren’t surprised to see her step out on stage in a fab heeled pair complete with gold studs.
Looking ahead to the autumn/winter season, we love Pixie’s Henry Holland suspender-style tights – the only way to work a micro mini dress!
Paloma Faith on the other hand opted for bold colour. The quirky New York singer carefully avoided tripping on her fringed floor-length dress when she walked off stage and into the crowd in her towering red platforms.
Abi Silvester is editor of Shoewawa.com, where she indulges her love of shoes on a daily basis, scrutinising footwear of all pedigrees from the best of designer talent through to high street bargains and vintage finds, always keeping a watchful eye on the ugly or overpriced footwear to avoid! Today, she's here to share her favourite styles from the Shudoo range...
1. Melissa 'Troupe' in black Melissa's rubber renditions of Vivienne Westwood styles make designer shoes so more accessible and fun, and these wedges have a really playful look to them that's enough to put a spring in anyone's step. Loving the shiny brogue finish.
2. Dune 'Doze' leopard print flats
These versatile flatties have a natural looking leopard print that's far softer and more subtle than some of the animal print styles out there, which I really love. The shades used for the print would be easy to match with all kinds of outfits and seasonal colours, making them great transition wear.
3. Bertie G Galaxy
Mock croc is going to be huge next season, and I love the way the scaly, textured effect completely covers these t-bar heels by Bertie, from the straps to the sides of the heel. The result is a sophisticated vintagey look that will bring a touch of understated glamour to dressed-up looks and work-wear alike.
4. Ugg 'Hazel' wedge
This is a beautifully structured shoe that hits the near-impossible perfect balance between comfort and style. The snug-fitting soft suede makes walking in the shoes feel like walking on air (a quality all good wedges should possess!) and they give a very flattering, leg-lengthening lift.
You may be missing Fearne Cotton from the Radio 1 airwaves. That’s because she is busy filming the new series of her ITV2 celebrity interview show, ‘Fearne And...’
One of Fearne’s subjects for the new series is former OC star Mischa Barton. The pair were snapped in LA yesterday in rather contrasting outfits.
Mischa looked healthy and glowing in chocolate brown suede shorts, a peach pussybow blouse and a pair of killer lace up tan shoe boots.
While we love Fearne’s low heeled walking boots, we’re not so sure about the accompanying floral maxi dress. Calf skimming and with long sleeves, the maxi makes the usually edgy star look frumpy and mumsy.
Strolling down Hollywood’s trendy Robertson Boulevard, we only hope Fearne divulged in a spot of shopping for an outfit that do her boots justice.
