Summer 09 Dear Mark, what are the most popular shoes for summer 2009? - Nia, Wales So many shoes so little time! The Gladiator is a fab choice, and perfect for running around town. Some eye popping bright numbers will have people talking for all the right reasons. But you simply cant go wrong with some trusty Havaianas for dressed up or dressed down chic.. |
| Footwear with skinnies Dear Mark, Which shoes are best to wear with skinny pants? - Angela, Liverpool It all depends how dressed up or down you want to be. Almost every shoe will go with a pair of skinnies but the higher the shoe the higher the glamour. Heels will lengthen your legs and add a rock chic edge. On the other hand boots are great for balancing out heavier hips and melting away the pounds. If its comfort you're after opt for ballet pumps for cuteness or Converse for that oh so casual preppy look. |

A modern bride Dear Mark, I'm getting married this summer. How can I look like a more modern stylish bride rather than looking typically 'bride-ish'. I suppose I am looking for tips on adding interesting twists to the classic white dress and hair up thang. - Fatima, Mold Loving the fact you want a different wedding dress. My only advice would be, don't be too trend led. You don't want to look back in a year and think "what the hell". Why not try a boho feel, this look has been around for years and a long maxi dress and hair band looks gorgeous. (Check out Denise Van Outen, left). You could also be inspired by vintage style like a 50's style prom dress and a 'Jackie O' veil. Just remember to allow your personality to shine though and love every minute. |
| When in Rome Dear Mark, I'm going to Rome in July, what can I wear that'll be cool, stylish and comfortable? - Helen, London Its gotta be the magic combo of... - a bold patterned, loose, jersey maxi - some super stylish sandals, like these Roberto Botella Rhiannon beauties - and the forever chic aviator sunglasses. |

Fit for a ball Dear Mark, Help! I have my school leavers ball in July and I was wondering what would you suggest for me to wear? I have no idea, all I know is I want something short (not too short) with a splash of colour, and I seem to have no inspiration! - Maria, Leeds Go for a this season must have 'the tulip shape cocktail dress'. The tulip shape at the bottom of the dress is super flattering and is so S/S 09. When you combine this sillouette with a bold, bright colour, you're on to a show stopping combo. Try Oasis, River Island and Lipsy for great catwalk doubles at a tenth of the cost. Make sure you wear some super high heels in either metallic or contrasting bold hues. |
